For access to the application form click here.
Applications closed, class is full for 2022-2023. Applications will be accepted again in August 2023.
Classes are held virtually once a week (excluding national holidays). Lectures occur on Tuesdays from 4:30PM-5:30PM via Teams. Individuals who want to attend just a few classes are discouraged from applying as the educational activities for each class build on the previous class. Because the content is connected, it is difficult to understand and catch up by attending intermittently. Research career development comprises a significant portion of this program, thus preference will be given to applicants who:
-
are part of a fellowship training program and for whom research training is a requirement
-
interested in clinical research and need assistance with grant development and establishing a research career
-
have already completed some pilot research and are interested in expanding to a larger grant o funded project
-
have academic appointments that include teaching research methods to students / residents.
A certificate of completion is awarded only to participants who attend >80% of classes and assignments, and a passing grade on the final examination. Additionally, learners affiliated with the VA will be able to receive continuing education credit through the Orlando VA Talent Management System (TMS).To attend this course, you must have your supervisor’s signature agreeing to protected time if your clinical duties go beyond 4:30 PM. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. For access to the application, see the link above.
The program is closed for applications. The 2022-2023 series, is currently full. The application process will open again in August 2023.
